Cassie & Landon

Holy September.

You guys, I haven't blogged since JULY... I guess this would be an appropriate time to explain myself. So I'm officially starting week 5 of my junior year in college! I'm excited but also really scared! I'm a year closer to being shoved into a world where my mom is no longer my mom-ager, bills & taxes are more real than they are in college & I have to learn how to cook more than just rice & chicken!

I'm still very active with my business & I thank the Lord every day for that, it's just that I'm not blogging a whole lot of it! I hate that the library comes before my editing, but hey that's just life & I've got to start somewhere right?

MOVING ON... If you don't follow me on Instagram or Facebook, I Recently took a mini vacay-trip to Minnesota, visiting some friends & family. Whilst there I was contacted by a few families to take some holiday pictures! Obviously I couldn't say no! Four families & one couples session later, I'm finding myself at crunch time for delivering these galleries! They were so much fun & although I was a little disappointed Minnesota is taking it's sweet time to change seasons, I still felt at home & at ease with the crisp fall air around me.

Here are some of my favorites from Cassie & Landon's session!

Tolchinsky Family

When Lori initially contacted me, explaining how she & her perfect little family had just moved to Arizona from Florida, I was so incredibly excited! I love hearing stories about how people end up in unplanned area's! Lots of people ask me why I chose to come to Arizona from Minnesota & my first response usually starts with, "Well... considering it's Winter 8 out of the 12 months..." and ends with, "but the heat can be a little unbearable sometimes," haha! You win some, you lose some, you know?

Anyways, Lori & I met up at Starbucks to get to know each other a little better before the session & she brought her angelic kids, Harper Lulu & Crew (Adorable, right?! I die). Right off the bat, Harper was the sweetest thing! Her personality is bold & her imagination stretches beyond the horizon! She is totally a diva in the making & I couldn't be more obsessed! Crew was a little more quiet, mostly because he was pooped from turning 1 & all the partying got to him ;) He is such a flirt & I hate to admit this but, Lori, you're beautiful kids are going to give you grey hair due to their charming good looks!

I cannot WAIT to start shooting this family more & more over the years!

Oh my portrait photography heart is FULL, beautiful Harper!

I originally wasn't sure if I was going to give this image out, but how could you NOT fall completely in love with that smirk!!

Miss Harper just couldn't be bothered for any more paparazzi, I mean who could when there's a giant SAND BOX in the desert!

It was Crew's time to shine, seeing as these were scheduled to celebrate his 1st birthday!!

Once Harper realized we were tickling her baby brother she decided it was time to do big sister duties & get in on the action!

But actually, how cute are these two...

Jiuditta Family

Happy Wednesday, you guys! last week I got to finish off the week with a family session, and when I say finish off the week I mean, finish my extremely hard COM 207 final (Good luck to incoming Communication Students; Take it with Professor Valianos!) & then end the sweaty evening perfectly with this hysterically, fabulous family. We decided to start at the Whitfill Nursery in Tempe, that neither of us had been to before (Poor location scouting on my part). As Renee said, "Well.. it looked pretty on Yelp," we all laughed as we looked at a very messy, uncoordinated landscape of plants in pots all over the place, some dead & some alive. This sounds like an absolutely terrible experience but in all reality, we all had high spirits knowing that we were all willing & able to make the most of our time!

I loved how these turned out & I must say a huge thank you to the Jiuditta Family for having awesome attitudes given our circumstances, & for simply just being all-around great people!

Future clients, if you decide to work with me (or any photographer) in the future, my best advice for you would be this: Make the most of your time, be happy, keep an open mind, be up for adventure, laugh at everything & be yourself. THAT'S what will make your session become more than just a session with a photographer. It'll create a friendship with someone new, & a better experience with you & your loved ones.

Thank you Jiuditta Family for teaching me something new about my career :)

Amaelia H. | Senior

My last senior session for the 2015-2016 school year ended with this beauty of a woman! Amaelia, or as we all call her- Mae, is that one girl that EVERYbody likes. You know? The beautiful, intelligent, kind, witty, passionate girl that everybody wants to be and everybody loves! Mae may be one of the sweetest seniors I've had this season & I'm so incredibly pleased to have wrapped up with her senior session! Huge thank you to the Royal Palms for allowing us to shoot at your beautiful location & Congratulations Mae!

Tara A. | Senior

Tara (Pronounced Tar-a) made quite the impression on me when we first started interning together at the Bloguettes! Although she was under the events department & I was creative team, we still had a great connection! Tara is graduating with a BA in Business Law from the W.P. Carey School of Business (A.K.A. School for the super duper smarty pants'!)

I had so much fun at this session. Tara is one of those people who just knows her angles (If you haven't already seen her Instagram, you will know what I'm talking about). Photography is all about movement and capturing moments of movement and that's exactly what this girl gave me!I'm really going to miss this girl!

Mallory & Jared Are Married! | April 8th, 2016

I am so honored to have been able to photograph this gorgeous wedding. The decor, flowers, cake, bride & groom, everything was perfect! I was actually really, really, really (Like really, you guys), nervous to photograph it because everything was set up so perfectly, I needed to nail it.

Mallory & Jared were beaming in love & it was totally obvious. Their happiness radiated onto everybody that attended the wedding. Friends & family gathered to celebrate & I couldn't have asked for a better wedding to photograph for these two!

After endless hugs & kisses were exchanged, cake was cut, the guests & bride + groom danced like they were professional 'nobody is watching' dancers, Mallory & Jared were whisked away! I loved every moment.

Congratulations M & J!

Mallory was able to take a quick break from the dress, between the exit and the reception so I jumped in to snap a few of the dress & details. It was a DREAM dress!

The Ford Family

Okay so I had this super fun opportunity to photograph the CUTEST little family-to-be! Besides having the BEST last name to decorate just about everything with, perfectly... These two beautiful humans are basically models. I was in total shock when I started the session because these two just knew all the right angles and facial expressions! You guys know I don't normally do maternity sessions or little ones under the age of 5 but sessions like Whitney & Taylor's make me sort of, kind of, want to start doing more! Spring mini sessions anyone? :) I can't wait to meet #littlemantate

Jane & Alex Best Friend Senior Session!

These two... You know when you look at a pair of girl friends and you can just tell that they share a really special friendship? That's these two! Jane & Alex decided to combine their senior sessions and make it one giant fun festival full of laughter. I seriously had so, so, so much fun photographing these two that I couldn't wait another second to edit these! Their loud personalities made it really exciting for one really interesting session!

After graduation Jane plans on joining the General Mills in their business management program in Scottsdale & Alex is going to work for Willis Insurance in Chicago! Congratulations (almost) ladies! No doubt you'll both be doing great things for this world no matter where you are!

Look at those locks flippin'! Whoo-ee, I had the best time snappin' while she danced!

We had a little dance party to end the session :)
